1.45 Sandown: Wilstar
Wilstar is two from three over hurdles having scored under a penalty at Warwick last time out.
He was noticeably strong in the closing stages on that occasion, so this stiffer track should suit, and he was an impressive bumper winner at Perth this time last season, so this quicker ground is certain to suit.
2.55 Sandown: Thistle Ask
He's improved rapidly since joining Dan Skelton this season. He does have three lengths to find with Jonbon, who he chased home in the BetMGM Clarence House Chase at Ascot, but the soft ground there seemingly stretched his stamina.
This jumping test, and Sandown, will play to his strengths, and he arrives here fresh having bypassed both Cheltenham and Aintree.
The presence of pace-rival Solness is the only minor concern.

3.30 Sandown: Resplendent Grey
He won this race last year and while a 10lb rise is going to demand more, this is a weaker renewal, and the form of last year's race has worked out well.
He's run well on two of his four starts this season, and the two poor efforts he had legitimate excuses for.
The eight-year-old was victim of a messy start in the Coral Gold Cup in November and his run in the Ultima last time out can be forgiven as evidence suggests Cheltenham isn't his track.
In between those runs, he finished just three lengths behind Protektorat in the Fitzdares Fleur de Lys Chase when conceding 4lb to that rival, and that form suggests he's better than this rating of 152.
4.40 Sandown: Calimystic
This seven-year-old is two from two over fences and looks to have been found a relatively weak contest to complete the hat-trick.
He jumps well, and has winning course form, plus the switch back to a sounder surface is also a positive.
Nicky Henderson has operated at 28 per cent strike-rate in the past fortnight, and that makes Calimystic the clear pick in this.
