A horse may be declared a non-runner for numerous reasons, such as becoming ineligible to race in a particular event due to the outcome of another race - or the trainer may decide to pull the horse out for their own reasons. What happens if I bet on a non-runner? If you have a bet on a horse that becomes a non-runner, a couple of things can happen. If it's a single bet, the bookmaker will typically refund you. In the case of accumulator bets, that leg of the accumulator will be void - meaning a change to your accumulator odds, and eventual pay-out if you end up winning the others.
