1.30 Fakenham: Clay Pigeons
Clay Pigeons is a Willie Mullins raider who is unbeaten in two starts in bumpers, in which he showed that he had plenty of speed which is what is required at this sharp track.
He travelled strongly for both of his bumper wins, looking a useful prospect. He makes his hurdling debut here and will be tough to beat provided his jumping is up to scratch.
1.40 Thurles: Fiver Friday
Fiver Friday has only run twice for Gavin Cromwell; finishing a good third on the Flat in a handicap at the Curragh before shaping well when second here in a handicap hurdle.
That was her first run for nine weeks and she is likely to improve for it and a mark of 114 underestimates her ability given that she was effective on the Flat off marks in the high 70s. A strong traveller, she can prove to be too fast for her rivals.

2.15 Thurles: Jade De Grugy
This Grade One winning hurdler is gradually getting her act together over fences and time may tell that her run behind the Big Westerner at Limerick last time was an excellent effort.
She was a good jumper of hurdles and the Race IQ data identifies that she is just as good over fences with scores of 8.3 and 8.1 in her two starts. She can take another step forward and land this Grade Two.
2.50 Thurles: A Wave Of The Sea
A Wave Of the Sea returns to handicap company and this drop in grade can see him outrun his likely big odds.
In truth, he has not run very well in a Grade Two and Listed chase on his past two starts, but this is more his grade and the last time he contested a similar race he won.
He has the highest Race IQ Jump Index in the race and is worth an interest back in a more suitable race.
