I think he has a good chance of reversing the form with favourite
.
Fine Casting usually competes in stronger races than this over both hurdles and fences but showed his appreciation for a drop down to this 0-120 grade with a good runner-up effort behind Kado De Joie at
last time.
Fine Casting has gone back up the handicap by 2lb for that effort, but he is still 4lb better off with the winner and I think he can make up the length he was beaten.
It looks possible that the nine-year-old might be able to dictate the pace despite the large field, and at a track that often favours such tactics. Softer ground is absolutely ideal for Fine Casting who is generally a most consistent performer.
3.10 Wincanton: GUSTOSO
This six-year-old seemed to really appreciate the step up to three miles last time and can follow up off just a 5lb-higher mark.
Gustoso won a handicap at
on soft ground last season, so this slightly easier ground than his latest run at
shouldn’t pose any problems and with Sam Twiston-Davies keeping the ride he looks a solid prospect off bottom-weight for a yard enjoying a good season.
A flat right-handed track clearly suits Gustoso well.

3.45 Wincanton: KATATE DORI
A maiden over hurdles, Katate Dori has been transformed by the switch to steeplechasing and can complete a January hat-trick here.
Getting off the mark in a conditionals event under
at
on New Year’s Day, he won easily and then quickly followed up under this rider in a similar event at
at few days later where
could claim 3lb.
Katate Dori gets the same allowance here and, although he is stepped up in grade, he runs off bottom-weight and looks far and away the least exposed of these.
Trainer
has his string in very good form currently and this looks another good piece of placing.
