Dave Nevison, Andy Stephens (RaceiQ), Ross Millar, Johnny Ward and Alex Scott share a selection each across four meetings ahead of a top-class day of action live on Racing TV.
1.55 Curragh: Trustyourinstinct
Tipster: Johnny Ward.
Best odds: 9-1.
Hacked up when 5-4 favourite in this 12 months ago, yet is 9-1 now, for all that it is clearly a better renewal and seemingly Dylan Brown McMonagle chooses Nyra. His course form is 1223117 and the latest effort can be readily excused.
2.20 Haydock: Princling
Tipster: Alex Scott.
Best odds: 3-1.
The draw and distance may not be ideal - he is bred to stay further in time - but Princling has been given an opening mark of 87 and is surely very well treated.
William Haggas knows his family well having trained his dam to finish second in the Musidora and this thoroughly unexposed colt has strong form to his name.
The son of Kingman finished second on both of his starts as a two-year-old over seven furlongs, and the form of his Newmarket run has worked out well.
The Group One-entered winner Yazin (now rated 104) has since bolted up by three and a half lengths, whilst the race has produced a further seven subsequent winners.
His reappearance effort should have him fully tuned up for this assignment and Cieren Fallon has a good record at Haydock (A/E 1.41). It is hard to see him far away.
2.40 York: Fortification
Tipster: Dave Nevison.
Best odds: 7-1.
Fortification has been through the sales ring three times at varying prices up to £350,000, but it definitely looks as though Brian Ellison’s connections have got the best value having picked him up for £27,000 before his stable debut.
Fortification won over this course and distance, and showed his best form to date by some way, so has clearly settled in well in his new yard.
He is a three-year-old who looks likely to have more improvement in him than some of the established older sprinter he is up against here. He has only been raised 5lbs for that latest win and is well enough drawn again for this follow up attempt.

2.58 Haydock: Venetian Sun
Tipster: Ross Millar.
Best odds: 9-4.
Was a high-class juvenile last season when her only defeat came in the seven-furlong Group One Moyglare Stud Stakes.
I wasn't convinced that distance suited her, and that opinion was hardened when she weakened late on in the 1000 Guineas on her seasonal return.
She returns to six furlongs here where I expect her strong travelling nature and confirmed stamina at the trip to see her home.
4.20 Goodwood: Finalise
Tipster: RaceiQ nap of the day (Andy Stephens).
Best odds: 15-8.
This long-striding filly was runner-up over course and distance on her final start last term but that does not tell half the story as the data tells us she clocked “fast” or “very fast” sectionals, at the head of affairs, for the first seven furlongs.
She performed wonders not to completely capitulate, with the other three who finished in the first four all pouncing from off the pace. Finalise is one to follow this season.
