4.07 Nottingham: Revich
At the age of ten, Revich would be expected to be on the decline, and it has indeed been while since he has was running respectably off marks in the 90’s.
However, he has always been better suited to turf, and seems to have been running himself back into some sort of form in three runs on the all-weather this year.
Last time out, he was backed into favouritism, but found the 7f trip just too sharp, and finished a respectable fifth.
Revich will be much happier on turf, and racing over a mile, here, and I think he could go close again.
5.10 Nottingham: Cavolo Nero
The 86-rated Cavolo Nero might well outclass his opposition in this 0-85 handicap. The relatively lightly-raced four-year-old still looks as though he has upside potential, and has been given a month to recover, and progress, from a highly encouraging return to action in March.
He finished second after being switched to make his challenge, and definitely could have been closer with a better run through there.
The third went on to win next time out, so the form looks strong enough to win this. Further improvement may well be forthcoming over this trip, too, and his dam was stayed ten furlongs well plus achieved a rating of 98, so improvement is highly likely.

6.30 Kempton: State Of Madness
State Of Madness did well last Autumn for Charlie Clover when winning three of his seven starts for the yard.
He has recently joined the Mark Loughnane yard, and definitely needs to do better than he did on his first run for his new team.
He finished fourth after getting outpaced, but was staying on well close home, and I think the outing will be put down as a sighter for the future.
Now Billy Loughnane knows a little bit about him, he can continue last year’s progress, and from his draw in stall four, I expect State Of Madness to sit just behind the pace on the inside before hopefully pouncing late.
