Take a look at all the weights allotted to this year's Randox Grand National entries plus read Andy Stephens' thoughts on their prospects. The big race takes place on Saturday. Reserves have until Friday to sneak in.
Won in 2024 and was runner-up last year. Only 1lb higher than last year and no reason why he cannot put up another bold show after skipping the Gold Cup. Cheekpieces back on for the first time since last 2022 to try and add an extra edge.
2 Nick Rockett (above)
Age: 9. Weight: 11-11. Odds: 16-1.
Non runner.
3 Banbridge
Age: 10. Weight: 11-11. Odds: 66-1.
Class act who came within a nose of retaining his King George crown on Boxing Day. Excellent jumper but the trip is a big question mark and he was underwhelming at Cheltenham last time.
4 Grangeclare West
Age: 10. Weight: 11-10. Odds: 12-1.
Third last year when he might have won but for his blunder at the final fence. Bit hit and miss since but snapped a lengthy losing run when taking the Bobbyjo Chase last time with a bit to spare, despite another late error. Was favoured by the weights that day.
5 Gerri Colombe
Age: 10. Weight: 11-10. Odds: 33-1.
Won his first eight races and was a gallant runner-up in the 2024 Gold Cup. Missed most of last season but has shown he is no back number, getting back to winning ways at Down Royal last time after being runner-up to Grangeclare West in the Bobbyjo Chase.
6 Haiti Couleurs
Age: 9. Weight: 11-10. Odds: 16-1.
Keeps improving in chunks and already has an Irish National and Welsh National on his CV. However, he dropped away tamely in the Gold Cup last time and will need to bounce back.
7 Spillane's Tower
Age: 8. Weight: 11-8 . Odds: 33-1.
Non-runner.
8 Firefox
Age: 8. Weight: 11-4. Odds: 40-1.
Showed new stamina reserves when a staying-on fourth in the Irish Gold Cup, but ran out of puff when sixth in the Gold Cup at Cheltenham. This would require an even bigger breath.
9 Monty's Star
Age: 9. Weight: 11-3. Odds: 20-1.
Winless since the end of 2023 despite having plenty of ability. Has some smart form in the book and perhaps this is the kind of test he has been yearning.
10 Spanish Harlem
Age: 8. Weight: 11-3. Odds: 66-1.
Owned by the race sponsor, so a guaranteed starting place is just what the doctor ordered. Has had an eventful time in staying chases since then, including when unseating his rider at the final fence when looking sure to win the Thyestes.
11 Lecky Watson
Age: 8. Weight: 11-2. Odds: 50-1.
Won the Brown Advisory last year but not much to shout about since, although had a difficult task in the Bobbyo Chase last time when trying to concede plenty of weight to superior rivals.
12 Champ Kiely
Age: 10. Weight: 11-1. Odds: 50-1.
Signed off last season with a Grade One win and ran a cracker on his return. However, his most recent races have not gone to script.
13 Iroko (above)
Age: 8. Weight: 11-1. Odds: 12-1.
Ran a cracker when a staying-on fourth last year and his first two runs this term pointed to him being in excellent fettle. He ran poorly at the Cheltenham Festival last time, but scoped dirty that day.
14 Favori De Champdou
Age: 11. Weight: 11-1. Odds: 40-1.
Won the Paddy Power Chase at 66-1 over Christmas and has since impressed over Cheltenham’s cross-country fences, finishing runner-up at the Festival on his latest start. His new mark leaves him vulnerable.
15 Three Card Brag
Age: 9. Weight: 11st. Odds: 50-1.
Trailed home eleventh last year when well fancied and was similarly disappointing in the Bobbyo Chase last time. Had been in good heart before that, winning at Cheltenham in October before chasing home Panic Attack in the Coral Gold Trophy at Newbury.
16 Oscars Brother
Age: 8. Weight: 10-13. Odds: 25-1.
One of only two horses for his young trainer, but what an advert for his talents. The novice will need to brush up his jumping, although errors did not stop him finishing a staying-on fourth in the Brown Advisory at Cheltenham last time.
17 Mr Vango (above)
Age: 10. Weight: 10-12. Odds: 100-1.
One of the tallest horses in training. Dour stayer who won the Midlands National last season and came within a short head of landing the Becher, over the National fences in December. Disappointing on his past two starts, though, and soft ground seems essential for him.
18 High Class Hero
Age: 9. Weight: 10-11. Odds: 40-1.
Grade One-winning hurdler whose close third in the bet365 Gold Cup at Sandown is worth a second look. On the minus side, he has run poorly on his past two starts

19 Stellar Story
Age: 9. Weight: 10-11. Odds: 33-1.
Runner-up in the Brown Advisory last season, having beaten The Jukebox Man in the Albert Bartlett 12 months earlier. Far from disgraced when third in the Bobbyjo Chase last time, when trying to concede 8lb to Grangeclare West. Gets a hefty 21lb pull in the weights.
20 Beauport
Age: 10. Weight: 10-11. Odds: 100-1.
Runs in the colours of Corbiere, the 1983 National winner, and was in contention a long way last year before fading away after being too keen. Won the Midlands National in 2024 and so stamina no issue.
21 Captain Cody
Age: 8. Weight: 10-10. Odds: 25-1.
Given an audacious hold-up ride when winning the Scotish Grand National last spring. This will be a tougher assignment and similar tactics tricky to pull off. Was unable to make an impact in the Bobbyjo Chase latest after an early fall in the Thyestes.
22 Jagwar
Age: 7. Weight: 10-10. Odds: 14-1.
His staying-on second in the Ultima at Cheltenham needs marking up, as he might have won but for a blunder in the first half of the race when in rear. The trip is a big question mark for him but he's favourably handicapped (5lb well in) and proven in top handicaps.
23 Perceval Legallois
Age: 9. Weight: 10-9. Odds: 40-1.
Looked to have plenty going for him last year and went off at only 10-1 in the betting but fell at the ninth. Has run poorly in his two races this term, but his connections can pull rabbits out of the hat, and you are getting much chunkier odds than 12 months ago. Harry Cobden rides.
24 Gorgeous Tom (above)
Age: 8. Weight: 10-9. Odds: 40-1.
Useful novice who ran was eye-catching fourth in the Coral Gold Cup Trophy after being messed around at the start. There’s stamina in his pedigree, too, and the yard know what is required to hit the jackpot here. Not disgraced over 2m 5f at Leopardstown last time, which will have kept him ticking over.
25 The Real Whacker
Age: 10. Weight: 10-9. Odds: 66-1.
Won the Brown Advisory three years ago, plus the Charlie Hall Chase in 2024. However, he has since found life tough, with headgear failing to reignite his spark.
26 Quai De Bourbon
Age: 7. Weight: 10-9. Odds: 40-1.
Was a good third in the Irish National last spring and revived when third at Leopardstown last time, when sporting cheekpieces. Had been finding the fences getting in his way in between those efforts.
27 Answer To Kayf
Age: 10. Weight: 10-8. Odds: 100-1.
Lightly raced ten-year-old. Won the Troytown at Navan in November and has been a fair fourth in his past two starts, including the Bobbyjo Chase last time.
28 Jordans
Age: 7. Weight: 10-8. Odds: 40-1.
Ran well at Cheltenham and Aintree last spring, and easy enough to excuse him wilting on heavy ground in the Thyestes last time on his penultimate start. Others more persuasive.
29 Final Orders
Age: 8. Weight: 10-5. Odds: 66-1.
Has taken a liking to the cross-country fences this season, which is encouraging with Aintree in mind, and relished the quick ground when making all at the festival last time. he's going to be well-in at the weights but the distance is likely to be a big stumbling block.
30 Marble Sands
Age: 10. Weight: 10-5. Odds: 66-1.
The only grey in the field showed a new side to him when pouncing from off the pace to win over 3m 3f at Cheltenham in November, although since been put in his place at Wetherby. Did not make much impact in the Topham last year.
31 Panic Attack (above)
Age: 10. Weight: 10-5. Odds: 20-1.
This mare has been a revelation this season, pulling off the Paddy Power Gold Cup and Coral Gold Cup double in sparkling fashion. Has the blend of speed/stamina needed for the National although had a hardish race when third in the Mares Chase at Cheltenham last time.
32 Top Of The Bill
Age: 10. Weight: 10-5. Odds: 100-1.
Stuck to his task when runner-up in Haydock’s Grand National Trial at the weekend, although it was a puzzling affair with all the runners finishing in a huddle. His overall claims are not compelling.
33 Johnnywho
Age: 9. Weight: 10-4. Odds: 16-1.
Got right back in the groove when landing the Ultima Chase at Cheltenham last time, and he's 6lb well in at the weights. Also got a sighter of the National fences in November.
34 Twig (above)
Age: 11. Weight: 10-4. Odds: 50-1.
Never figured when tenth last season and, now 11, hard to see him doing much better, for all that he returned to Aintree in December to win the Becher Chase. There is a lot more depth to this contest.
35 Piped Piper
Non-runner.
36 Imperial Saint
Age: 8. Weight: 10-2. Odds: 50-1.
Richard Johnson famously never won the great race despite numerous attempts but now he has a shot with a horse he owns in conjunction with syndicate members. Loves the Mildmay Course at Aintree and landed the Peter Marsh on his penultimate start. Did not get rub of the green at Cheltenham last time.
