Dave Nevison was in flying form once again last week, and a 16-1 winner was among his successful selections, as well as St Leger winner Galileo Chrome, and our top tipster has three fancies for Tuesday's racing action.
3.20 Redcar: Infinite Grace at a general 7-1
Although this filly has never won at Redcar, she has run two of her best races at the track and was definitely unlucky not to go close last time out.
She was just beginning to make her run when blocked and had to switch, but she was still running on at the line and eventually finished fourth.
Her previous run also signalled her turn might be nearing, and her main issue is that she was raised 10lb when she won a very modest nursery last year, which was harsh.
She is now 8lb lower than that victory though and with the hood retained, as well as Danny Tudhope keeping the ride, she can get back to winning ways on Tuesday.
6.40 Kempton: Chairman Power at 7-2 with Bet365
I am taking the view that this horse is surely better than a rating of 66 as he is so well bred and cost a fortune as a yearling.
He showed nothing on his only start last year and had a wind op before showing more promise at Lingfield on his second start.
The revised rules means he gets a rating after those two efforts and I am fairly hopeful he has been underestimated.
Even though he was eight and a half lengths behind the winner, Myseven, who will probably be favourite for this race, at Lingfield last time out, he might improve past that rival on better terms here.
7.40 Kempton: Limaro Prospect at 11-8 with Bet365
Limaro Prospect hasn’t got quite the typical Sir Mark Prescott profile as there have been bumps on the road, although not always his fault.
However, he got his head in front when winning in very good style in this grade last week and the penalty shouldn’t stop him following up.
He certainly improved for his run following a four-month break at Chelmsford and had cheekpieces applied for the first time at Kempton, which are retained here.
They obviously worked a treat last time out, but I think it is more likely that the penny has finally dropped and his trainer clearly thinks he is well in as he holds a few entries in the coming days.
