Our top tipster enjoyed a profitable week last week and is back to mark your card for the racing action at Exeter on Tuesday. 2.30 Exeter: Hugo ‘n Taz
It looks as though David Pipe might have got some improvement out of this nine-year-old judged on his win at Market Rasen last time out which was his first run for Pipe, and he has had wind surgery since.
He certainly handled conditions well enough there, so heavy going will be no problem in trying to follow up that victory here.
The drop down in trip should be negated by the much stiffer track at Exeter and even though his mark has raised 8lb, he could hardly have expected less given how he won and he is still carrying bottom weight here, which may well count for a lot in this slog.
4.00 Exeter: On The Road
On The Road has been a bit of a disappointment but seems to have gained a bit of consistency recently under Adam Wedge who won two novice chases on him in 2017.
He went very close to winning at Chepstow last time out and the winner has boosted the form by following up since, so in a low-grade handicap he may be the best option.
He won twice at this course over hurdles and the trip and ground will not be a hinderance.
4.30 Exeter: Demopolis
Demopolis is being well placed to win modest races but is getting it done and having been on him for both his wins, I am staying with him for the hat-trick.
He is only 5lb higher than when winning over hurdles last time out and despite the narrow victory, I am convinced he is much better than that success.
He is certainly still way lower than the mark he started on in the UK and I hope there is more to come from him.
