Charlie Hills favouring French option for Nebo over Dewhurst

Sun 8 Oct 2017

Mill Reef third Nebo is likely to head to France rather than run in the Darley Dewhurst Stakes on Saturday.

Charlie Hills feels the Criterium de Maisons-Laffitte on Friday will be more suitable for his juvenile, who has also finished runner-up in the Richmond and Superlative Stakes.

"There is a Group Two race at Maisons-Laffitte that he is most likely to go for," said Hills.

"We have left him in the Dewhurst and we will see what it looks like before making the final decision and we will see what the ground is like.

"He was in the sales races this weekend, but we thought we would continue down the Group race route. He has been perfectly fresh since his last run."
