On The Wire: "he's like a top-class midfielder!"

The final episode of this season's On The Wire is now available to watch!
Andrew Blair White is joined by Mark Boylan and Donn McClean as the team look back at the jumps season and pick out their best and worst moments, and everything in between.
They’ll be focusing in on their performance of the season, underachiever of the season, moment of the year and we’ve even thrown in some runners to add to your trackers that could be worth keeping onside, both ante-post and throughout next year’s season in full.
Don’t worry Gavin Lynch and Dan Overall fans, both of the lads also join the party throughout the show!
Stick around to the end to find out the team’s best bets for next season!
Donn McClean was particularly impressed with Paul Townend's ride on I Am Maximus in the Grand National, saying: "Watching the race again this morning, he was on the inside the whole way but he seems to have room all the time along the inside, which is kind of crazy. It's like a top-class midfielder, he just always seems to have time on the ball he just always seemed to have space on the inside where you shouldn't have space at all.
"And then when Jordans went on at the end of the back straight, to sit like he did and trust his horse, trust that it was too early and trust that he had the energy left to go and pick up the leader, which he did, and then as you mentioned he went out to France and won on Selma De Vary yesterday. Whilst he wasn't Champion Jockey, he just had a phenomenal season and little pockets of outstanding achievements throughout."
Mark Boylan later added: "Cheekpieces were my performance of the season from the Willie Mullins yard!
"Spanish Harlem, Last Kingdom, Kaid d'Authie, Majborough, Impaire Et Passe, Kalix Delabarriere, I Am Maxmius. They were the star of the season!"
