2.13 Nottingham: Laughterintherain
Ed Walker has his team in good form, and Laughterintherain has been in my Racing TV Tracker since December when she finished an eye-catching second. That was her third start, and a much-improved one.
She travelled strongly, and had to be switched for a run before staying on strongly in the closing stages under a sympathetic ride. She was the fastest horse through the final two furlongs that day, clocking 22.64s, compared to the winner who recorded 22.79s.
That was a run full of promise, and a rating of 68 could be very lenient.
4.25 Nottingham: Nad AlShiba Green
On her first start for Clive Cox, this filly shaped with plenty of promise at Wolverhampton. She was held up and given plenty to do against a winner who made all of the running.
She deserves a sectional upgrade for that effort, too. She was still in fifth place with a furlong to run, but then produced a final furlong of 11.23s, which is rated as very fast when compared to the RaceiQ par.
She was well supported that day, and has won at this track before, so looks capable of making amends.

5.15 Musselburgh: Furhaan
Furhaan looked as though he needed the run on his first start for Jim Goldie recently, and ought to give a better account with that run behind him.
He is lightly-raced and unexposed over this trip of a mile and a half, and is just the sort that Jim Goldie can revive.
He won at Windsor last season off a rating of 67, and is only 2lb higher here. He will be a big price, but this is an open and competitive affair, and he has scope to improve for Jim Goldie, particularly as his stamina is drawn out.
6.15 Musselburgh: Talismans Time
Talismans Time appeared to be a handicapper to follow last season after winning on his handicap debut at Hamilton. He was then completely out of his depth in the Class 2 Sky Bet Melrose at York where he didn't appear at his best.
Now he returns to a class 4 contest, he can resume winning ways off a rating that is just 5lb above his last winning mark. He is well drawn in stall four, and his handler, Ed Bethell, is in good form. He looks sure to go well.
