The Lost Sock is in full training and hopes are high that our syndicate horse will provide plenty of fun for our members throughout the year. The sprinter was placed in all three of his starts last year, culminating in a win at Catterick in the summer. He made his reappearance at Kempton in March, where he was out of luck, but he stripped fitter for that run and finished a close third at Wolverhampton when stepped back down to five furlongs at the end of the month. He was out of luck on his return to turf at Thirsk in April, but ran against some highly unexposed three-year-olds. Roger Varian is optimistic about his chances for this season and says he is a "fun" horse to be involved with.

The exciting youngster was on the sidelines for a few months following a small setback over the winter, but trainer Roger Varian has since been pleased with his progress and he finished an encouraging third last time out on the all-weather.

The three-year-old, who was purchased at the Goffs Doncaster Breeze-Up Sales for £50,000, got his career off to a flying start last year having been narrowly denied at Thirsk prior to his Catterick victory, plus he also finished third on debut at Nottingham. He's been given a rating of 84, and the future certainly looks bright for our youngster.

Varian had been pleased with The Lost Sock's progress after the gelding operation, and although our syndicate horse was forced to bypass a winter campaign, Varian now has high hopes the son of Cotai Glory will enjoy a successful campaign in 2026.
