Racing TV's The Lost Sock wins at Catterick

The Racing TV membership horse The Lost Sock ran out the comfortable winner of the Yorkshire Dales Distillery EBF Restricted Maiden Stakes at Catterick on Wednesday afternoon.

Owned in partnership with RaceShare, the son of Cotai Glory had already shown plenty of promise, coming home third on debut before finishing a close second next time out. Sent off the 4-7 favourite in a field of seven in the opening contest on Wednesday's card over 5f, Callum Rodriguez's mount broke smartly and sat just off the leader, before being produced to lead going best of all a furlong out.

Kept up to his task, the striking Roger Varian-trained chesnut ran out the one-length winner over the pacesetting Mossvale Diva, the pair stretching four lengths clear of the rest of the field.
