It is the news all members wanted to hear. Racing TV's syndicate horse
The Lost Sock, owned in partnership with RaceShare, is just days away from a return to action.
Last seen winning at Catterick on his third start following two placed efforts, the son of Cotai Glory has recovered well from an injury that has sidelined him since late August and has since been gelded. He is entered in the 7.00 at Kempton on Wednesday evening, the Unibet Proudly Supports racinghome.org.uk Handicap over six furlongs. This will be his first run in a handicap, where he will be running off a mark of 84.
Around 80 members were in Newmarket on Sunday morning to see the striking chesnut canter up Warren Hill, before they then got up close with the three-year-old back at the yard and enjoyed a Q&A with trainer Roger Varian. Refreshments and a trip to Huntingdon Racecourse then followed.
In his latest update, Varian said: "He's doing very well and things have been going very smoothly with him in his training programme. He's ready to go back to the racecourse and we plan to take him to Kempton on Wednesday for a Class 4 handicap for three-year-olds over six furlongs.
"He's moving very nicely, he looks very well and we're excited to get him back on track on Wednesday. He's done all of his strong work which is good, so really he's just going to tick over in his canter work.
"Hopefully he can have a really full active year and give everyone lots of days out and excitement. The race on Wednesday is a good starting point."
