4.00 Ayr: Pearl Eye (E/W)
Making his first appearance for Jim Goldie, Pearl Eye is one to note under 5lb claimer Lauren Young, who has been among the winners recently.
The six-year-old gelding is now 11lb below his last winning mark when placed first at Doncaster last spring at odds of 50-1, and, although unable to return to the winners' enclosure since, has put in competitive efforts from a higher rating.
In recent runs, the son of Expert Eye has struggled for form but he remains in this class, dropping back to a mile, and a change of scenery may have sparked some improvement in him on his seasonal return. He holds each-way claims from a lenient mark.
4.48 Ffos Las: Dublin To Milan
Back over hurdles in this two-and-a-half-mile contest, Dublin To Milan could fare much better than in recent runs over fences. He finished second at Stratford last season over flights when rated 5lb higher under 3lb claiming Ned Fox, proving he possesses enough ability to be competitive in handicap hurdles over an intermediate distance, and this race could suit.
In the hands of champion jockey Sean Bowen, the seven-year-old could finally get off the mark, appearing well-treated at the weights if able to show improvement on his return to this sphere, equipped with first-time blinkers.
6.38 Gowran Park: Apercu (E/W)
Likeable mare Apercu put in a creditable effort in handicap company on her return to action following a 210-day break at Cork last month. She finished fourth to Final Voyage on that occasion, travelling into contention well before struggling to finish strongly enough to have a serious impact on the race.
With the benefit of a recent run this time around, the mare could be capable of being competitive as she steps up into Listed company. She could only manage eighth in the race twelve months ago, but a slow start impacted her chances and it was a run worth forgiving.
Despite needing to prove herself at this level, Apercu is a formidable force on her day and possesses plenty of talent. She finished fifth to Phantom Flight in Listed company at Dundalk in her penultimate start, and, with a more favourable outing this time around, has the ability to make the frame at the least, holding an each-way chance.
7.38 Gowran Park: Cause I Like You (E/W)
Three-year-old filly Cause I Like You performed well in her first appearance over a mile at Dundalk when last seen, finishing fourth at odds of 11-1. She could improve for the outing and is worth another chance over this trip from a 1lb lower mark of 48.
Bidding to get off the mark at the tenth attempt, the daughter of Dandy Man could be worth keeping the faith in as she put in a few decent efforts at big prices previously. She was sent off as joint-favourite on her return to action following a break in March, failing to get involved on that occasion, before running well in both of her subsequent runs.
First-time cheekpieces could spark further improvement and, being out of a mile-and-a-quarter winning mare in Diamond Rio, this assignment could suit. Each-way chance for Michael Mulvany.
8.08 Gowran Park: Can I Kiss You (E/W)
From a mark of 51, James Barrett-trained Can I Kiss You is one to note under Seamie Heffernan in the concluding mile handicap at Gowran Park. She hasn't been able to seriously threaten in eight starts to date but ran with some credit in a claimer over course and distance last autumn and caught the eye in defeat at Thurles when last seen.
Now 3lb lower than her latest run, when beaten only four-lengths in race that didn't pan out favourably for her, and has produced a few subsequent winners, this could be a feasible opportunity for Can I Kiss You to at least achieve a placed effort, still unexposed and on a potentially workable mark.
The four-year-old filly has shown some ability when up against higher rated rivals in the past, and, from a low mark, could be able to make the frame, making her one to note each-way.
