Thursday tips: Dave Nevison has three bets across three meetings

3.13 Ayr: Buzz Iceclear
This in-form gelding is up another 2lb for getting beat last time out, but even though he is in the same grade, he looks to be in a less competitive event and I feel he could regain the winning thread.
He is well suited by this three-mile trip and, even though I saw no reason for him to require headgear on his latest run, it is interesting that Mark Walford thinks it is worth trying.
Buzz Iceclear has already won on similar ground and under today’s rider twice already this season, so another good run looks on the cards.
3.20 Lingfield: King’s Hand
Sir Mark Prescott is persisting with this four-year-old maiden which might well be a tip in itself and King’s Hand looks to be worth a bet to finally land a race here.
He has been dropped 1lb for finishing third over this course and distance where he ended up too far back and stayed on very well late in the game.
King’s Hand only needs to run to the same level of form here to go very close again at least. The hood that was tried last time is retained and hopefully he won’t be too sleepy when the race begins in earnest.
6.30 Chelmsford: Stanley Spencer
Stanley Spencer should get this race run to suit from a good draw in stall 3 and ought to be able to travel just off the leaders for most of the race.
James Tate’s gelding won nicely at Southwell in September and is only 3lb higher this time around. The five-year-old has had excuses on a couple of his runs since, but didn’t run at all badly despite finishing unplaced and is down 1lb for this race.
Quite a few of Stanley Spencer’s rivals aren’t in peak form and he looks the best option.
