A crowd of nearly 100 gathered in Newmarket at 10.15 on Thursday morning to get a first look at The Lost Sock take in a canter up Warren Hill.
The new Racing TV syndicate horse is in training with Roger Varian and the master of Carlburg Stables was also in attendance on the gallops, where he gave members some more information about the son of Cotai Glory.
After a quick debrief, members then followed Varian back to the yard where the colt was then shown to them up close.
Roger Varian shares an update on Racing TV syndicate horse The Lost Sock.
Varian explained that the chesnut is nearing his racecourse debut and that he very much sees him a a sprinter, revealing he may run at Beverley over 5f next weekend.
Picked up for 12,500 guineas from the Tattersalls Somerville Sale as a yearling by Johnny Collins of Brown Island Stables, he was then knocked down for £50,000 at Doncaster's Goffs Breeze-Up Sale in April.
The Lost Sock is introduced to stalls for the first time.
Chatting to Mattie Batchelor, Varian said he was happy at how the two-year-old had settled into the yard and was impressed with how he had developed physically. Questions about the horse were then opened up to members, before many then made their way over to The July Course for a day of racing in the Racing TV hospitality marquee, with Nick Luck in attendance to point them in the direction of the horses to follow for the day.
