2.42 Cartmel: Masterminding
He is yet to get off the mark for this new yard, but Masterminding has placed in each run. Both times being given plenty to do off exaggerated hold-up tactics.
He remains a maiden, but is undeniably well handicapped, particularly if ridden with less restraint.
4.12 Cartmel: Krak
He was second off this mark on his final start for the Twiston-Davies yard before failing to fire on his first start for the Skeltons though he did race without the now re-applied cheek-pieces.
It would be no surprise to see him take a big step forward on this second start after wind-surgery for a yard who are enjoying a fine summer.
4.47 Cartmel: Jack Sprat
Jack Sprat ran a good race to finish runner-up on his second start for this yard having become largely regressive for Jamie Snowden.
This doesn't look as competitive and, off just a 1lb higher mark, he can go one better.
5.50 Windsor: Troublesome Guest
Troublesome Guest produced a good effort on her debut at Newmarket when third to a pair of smart fillies that are now rated 92 and 83 respectively.
She's been set impossible tasks in two runs since, but has still shown promise in the Windsor Castle when mid-division and the Duchess Of Cambridge Stakes where her final position suffered having attempted to force the pace.
This mark of 78 looks lenient for her handicap debut and, in calmer waters, she can gain a first win.
