Sunday tips: Angus McNae's best four bets

Uncle Pat and Inanna gave us a couple of Sunday winners last week and I have four more selections this week at Epsom and The Curragh. Both meetings are live on Racing TV after Luck On Sunday.

Racing TV's free trial offer ends soon!

2.20 Epsom: Anniversary

This son of Sea The Moon impressed when winning on his debut and I am taking him to remain unbeaten. His debut win at Newmarket was achieved in a fast time in the style of a two-year-old who stays a mile strongly.
That stamina will be tested here in heavy conditions over this extended mile, but he is bred to stay well. The progeny of Sea the Moon seem best in soft conditions and everything look in place for him to win again before possibly take up his entry in the Group One Futurity at Doncaster next month.

2.40 Curragh: Fiery Lucy

This filly was one I highlighted in The Verdict when she finished second at The Curragh last time out and I am keen to be with her now that she drops in trip to seven furlongs.
At The Curragh, she raced in last place before quickening sharply to get into contention.
Her RaceiQ sectionals showed that she was fastest in the race through the sixth furlong (11.36sec) and then she threatened to win with an 11.16sec penultimate furlong. She paid for that two-furlong effort in the final furlong to finish second to a stronger stayer.
Fiery Lucy showed a lot more speed than her rivals and this drop to seven furlongs looks to be ideal.

3.15 Curragh: My Mate Alfie

This is a smart sprinter who is getting better. His win in the ‘Bold Lad’ handicap here last time  in a fast time suggests reverting to Group Three company will not be a problem.
Two of his three career wins have been at this track and he was placed in the Group Three Phoenix Stakes here two starts ago.  This is a weaker Group Three than that and given the improvement he showed last time out he is the one to be with.

4.40 Epsom: Arkhalia Flynn

This improving handicapper has won three of his seven starts this year and two of those wins have come on the soft ground, which he will again encounter.
He was denied a hat-trick at Haydock last time, but in finishing second to the progressive Nap Hand he put up his best time performance of the season.
That performance means that he is still well treated off a mark of 84. He will handle the very soft conditions better than most of his rivals and looks set to add to his excellent strike rate this season.
