Top tipster Graham Clark shares his selections for the action across Sandown, Beverley and Carlisle on Saturday, all live on Racing TV.
1.50 Sandown: Words Of Truth
Taking on established sprinters is no easy task for a three year old, however Words Of Truth looks up to the task.
Although suffering a shock odds-on reversal on his comeback in a six furlong conditions race at Meydan in January, it was a defeat that suggested a drop back in trip could suit.
The switch to five furlongs in a Listed event over course and distance last month was vindicated in the manner of a young sprinter that could be set for good things.
While he will have to improve again to back up that win there was nothing to suggest that he couldn’t given his finishing effort last time out.
3.00 Sandown: Pacific Mission
Things haven’t quite clicked for Pacific Mission in two starts this season, but she can belatedly open her account at the third time of asking this campaign.
Her fifth in the Listed Sky Bet Fillies’ Stakes at York on her return suggested she was a horse in need of the run given how she backed out of matters late on.
And a line can be put through her last effort in the Group Three Princess Elizabeth Stakes at Epsom Downs, which was run on testing conditions few horses that day really appreciated.
Pacific Mission is favoured by the level weights here, and with the switch to a much slicker surface, she can follow in the hoofprints of last year’s winner, and stablemate, Blue Bolt.

4.35 Beverley: Ma Leila
Ma Leila is yet to get her head in front in three starts, however her opening mark of 64 looks one she should be capable of exploiting now switched to handicaps.
While weakening out of contention on both starts at two, the daughter of Bated Breath put up a more encouraging display on her comeback third in a seven furlong maiden at Thirsk.
Having appeared outpaced at one stage, the step back in trip looks a positive, while the form of that race has worked out well with the winner, and second, both collecting next time out.
The switch to a sounder surface is a slight unknown, but if handling the forecast quicker ground Ma Leila could take plenty of stopping.
7.09 Carlisle: Barley
With a ratio of three victories from 49 starts it would suggest that Barley is not the easiest to win with, but this looks an ideal opportunity to get his head in front once again.
In a race full of exposed types the Tim Easterby-trained seven-year-old arrives in decent form, which can not be said for most of his rivals.
His only blip at the Cumbrian track was on soft ground, with his four other visits seeing him finish in the first two on each occasion, including his second last time out.
This race shouldn’t take much winning and he can make the most of the weight he receives from all his rivals on conditions which should be ideal.
