Rayvin Black will try to repeat last year's victory in the Betway Kingwell Hurdle at Wincanton on Saturday as long as conditions remain suitable.Trainer Oliver Sherwood is hoping there will be plenty of cut in the ground so that the eight-year-old can line up in the Grade Two contest.Rayvin Black put up his usual brave performance when second to Buveur D'Air in the Contenders Hurdle at Sandown earlier this month."He'll go as long as the ground stays soft. If it dries up he wouldn't run," said Sherwood. The going at the Somerset track was described as soft, heavy in places on Tuesday morning but the forecast is for dry weather from midweek onwards.Rayvin Black is one of 10 entries for the race, with Alan King's Yanworth leading the way.King also has Sceau Royal under consideration, while Relkeel Hurdle winner Agrapart has the option for Nick Williams.Grade One-placed novice Capitaine could represent Paul Nicholls, who also has Irving engaged in the two-mile heat.
