July Festival: Five to follow on Day Two at Newmarket

1.50 Newmarket: Princling
Tipster: Alex Scott.
Best odds: 9-4 (advised at 9-2).
The son of Kingman was last seen finishing fifth at Royal Ascot, coming home two and a half lengths behind Lost Boys in the Golden Gates Handicap.
His effort was worth upgrading given that he raced wide, had plenty to do and bumped a rival in the straight.
He was doing his best work late on when fourth over a mile at Carlisle the time previously and is thoroughly unexposed over middle distances.
The form of his novice races have worked out exceptionally well and he looks much better than his current mark of 91. This regally-bred colt looks set for a big run.
3.00 Newmarket: Real Dream
Tipster: Katie Midwinter.
Best odds: 50-1.
At huge odds, Ian Williams-trained Real Dream shouldn't be completely discounted as he's far from a forlorn hope at the best of his ability.
He's winless since an Ascot success from a 6lb lower mark for former trainer Sir Michael Stoute three years ago, but has since put in a number of competitive performances.
These include when beaten only half-a-length by Coltrane in Listed company last summer and when a close fourth to Sons And Lovers in a Riyadh Group Two handicap in February.
The seven-year-old is 6lb lower than when an excellent fifth to subsequent Breeders' Cup winner Ethical Diamond in last year's Ebor at York, which followed a creditable third in this contest when outrunning odds of 11-1 to place behind Oneforthegutter.
With proven form in the race over course-and-distance, and on a workable rating under 3lb claiming Ryan Kavanagh, the likeable contender could be capable of a resurgence and warrants each-way consideration at a generous price.

3.35 Newmarket: Blue Bolt
Tipster: Alex Scott.
Best odds: 7-2.
The conditions of this race could be ideal for BLUE BOLT. Andrew Balding’s incredibly consistent daughter of Blue Point arrives in East Anglia off the back of a career best effort at Royal Ascot where she was a comfortable winner of the Duke of Cambridge Stakes over the round mile.
That victory took her record to five wins from eight starts, and she relishes rattling fast conditions, having won her three starts on good to firm ground in fine style.
A strong traveller, she has not run here before but did chase home Fallen Angel in the Sun Chariot Stakes on the Rowley Mile in October. She also has a potent turn of foot, yet also has a lengthy stride and low stride frequency which should be well suited to the galloping nature of this course.
4.45 Newmarket: Never Just A Dream
Tipster: Dave Nevison.
Best odds: 28-1.
This sprint handicap is contested by exposed handicappers who win in their turn at best, and some have very modest recent strike rates. For that reason I feel it is a race that may be ripe for a big-priced result and Never Just A Dream at 50-1 might possibly supply it.
This horse that has been very highly tried in his career, overfaced in Group One and Two company seems to be the sort that trainer TJ Kent excels with, and he definitely showed enough on his stable debut last time to suggest a win is not impossible in the near future.
He has been dropped a couple of pounds for that good fifth at Newbury and dropped to five furlongs (which I am going to accept the trainer’s judgement as to whether it will suit).
Tom Marquand has been booked, which looks very interesting, and I am happy to throw a few bob at him at massive odds.
5.20 Newmarket: Angel Gabriel
Tipster: Alex Scott.
Best odds: 9-1.
Angel Gabriel was only fourth of five here on his handicap and seasonal debut a couple of weeks ago but is capable of reversing form.
From a fine stable, he ran well for a long way here over six furlongs, but faded late on, shaping as if he needed the run on his first start for 192 days.
That run should strip him much fitter, plus this extra furlong should see him to better effect, and he meets the winner of his most recent race on much better terms and is still a far bigger price.
Dropped 1lb to a mark of 81, this looks very workable. His dam Nahoodh won the Falmouth Stakes on this very card exactly 18 years ago.
