Harry Allwood pinpoints three who are worth a second look at double-figure odds at Ascot and Haydock on Saturday. On A Session has shaped well on his first two starts this season since joining David Barron and looks a shade over-priced at 22-1 on the form he showed in some strong handicaps in Ireland.
He raced freely when fourth in the Thirsk Hunt Cup last time out plus travelled into the race strongly and probably hit the front too soon.
The step back down to seven furlongs will suit here, as should the likelihood of a strong pace, and I expect him to be ridden more patiently this time.
The five-year-old was beaten just over a length in a Premier Handicap on his final start for Aidan Fogarty, and the form of that race looks strong as the winner won a Group Three two starts later and the runner-up, Njord, landed the Balmoral Handicap on his final start of the season.
A repeat of some of his career-best efforts in Ireland will see him be competitive off a rating of 92 here, and David Barron’s horses remain in form.

Ey Up Its Mick caught the eye on his return to action last time out
After landing back-to-back victories in July last year, Ey Up Its Mick became expensive to follow for the rest of the season. However, that was through no fault of his own as he was unlucky not to score on a number of occasions due to suffering traffic problems and it is surely only a matter of time until things fall right for him.
The consistent performer again caught the eye on his seasonal return where he fluffed the start and did well to finish as close as he did having been detached for most of the way.
That run should have at least blown any cobwebs away, and he was also dropped a pound following his exertions.
Despite being 3lb above his last winning mark, there is no doubt he is capable of winning off his rating and relishes soft ground.
Back over seven furlongs on Saturday, he is worth supporting at 10-1.
This consistent performer enjoyed a successful season last year and was unlucky not to finish closer when third at Bath last time out.
He appeared to become restless just as the stalls opened and a sluggish start did not help his cause before he raced keenly out wide.
His last victory came in a 0-85 handicap and although he remains 3lb above his last winning mark, a repeat of that effort in this 0-80 handicap should be good enough to at least hit the frame.
A return to a big-field contest is a positive, and the ground was good to soft when he scored at Goodwood last year.
It is also eye-catching to see James Doyle booked to ride as the selection has been ridden by apprentices on his past two starts.
