Horse racing tips: Dave Nevison's three Thursday fancies

Our pundit Dave Nevison struck with a 14/1 winner on Wednesday and has three fancies from Ayr on Thursday. Enjoy further action from Exeter, Thurles and Chelmsford live on Racing TV and Racing TV Extra.
I left Kempton Park on Tuesday evening buoyed and relieved at getting out on the last race after Sophosc had been beaten a short head earlier in the evening. Sadly, by the time I got on the train the result had been corrected - and Proclaimer had dead-heated instead!
Better than losing I suppose, but hopefully that wasn’t the signal my good run was coming to an end. These three hopefully will keep things rolling for a bit longer.
1.30 Ayr: Natchez Trace
If he can string two good performances together, he will likely win this running off the same generous mark of 71.
Natchez Trace hasn’t always been the most consistent but seemed to benefit from a short break last time when belying odds of 40/1 to get beaten just a short head in what was effectively a 0-91 handicap at Nottingham. He is dropped considerably in grade here down to the 0-75 bracket.
He likes a pace to run at and that looks probable here, without it set to be a breakneck gallop.
2.05 Ayr: Shine on Brendan
I’ve got to know all of these low-grade handicappers at the Scottish tracks quite well over this year and have manged to work out which one’s turn it is to win a few times along the way.
Shine on Brendan hasn’t scored yet but might just get his head in front here.
Four starts ago he was beaten just over a neck off a mark of 53 at Beverley and now runs off 49 having finished close up to be placed twice since. The blinkers tried last time got him to run to that Beverley form according to Timeform and, if the addition of a tongue tie can help his breathing for his finishing effort, that may just make the difference.
His draw in stall 1 draw should enable him to sit just behind the pace-setting Caballero and he really does have every chance.
4.25 Ayr: All Things Bright
This trainer/jockey combination did us a big favour with Tomorrow’s Angel last week and I’ll be watching the market closely for a strong move on this horse.
Like all trainers who are going places, Tristan Davidson is showing his skills in both buying horses cheaply from other yards and in getting improvement from seemingly exposed types.
All Things Bright started in Irish handicaps off a mark of 76 but arrives here rated 64. He may have been disappointing but he has run several good races before blowing out on his first all-weather run at Dundalk last time. Seven furlongs on soft ground is no problem for him and, with McSweeney’s claim, could be set to showcase the exciting skills of both jockey and trainer even more.
