Our betting expert believes a couple of runners are weighted to strike at the home of jumps racing on Thursday when the mares will take centre stage. Don't miss a moment from the final day of the April meeting live on Racing TV.
I have once again ducked the bet365 Craven Meeting for my bets but I will be watching the Newmarket trials and three-year-old handicaps - they will no doubt provide plenty of future winners as usual.
This is one of the first juvenile handicaps of the season, but surprisingly most of the contenders look fairly exposed and Table Mountain looks one of the few that could improve after just four runs.
The application of headgear is obviously one factor and hopefully the cheekpieces will sharpen her up a little. I also feel the stiffer trip is definitely a plus as this horse was a stayer on the Flat - she disappointed over a longer trip at Huntingdon but I am happy to write that off as just a bad day at the office, especially as she has shown her best form last time out.
The good ground at Doncaster seemed to suit Table Mountain very well and similar conditions are expected here. She has a low weight.
NON-RUNNER
Win My Wings looks to have been found a good opportunity to win her first chase given this is only a modestly competitive event - she carries top-weight despite being rated 7lb lower than the ceiling in this 0-130 contest.
She may have got closer on her last start as she was stopped mid-race, but she stayed on well and had definitely come on after her run in a Jumpers’ Bumper. She has been dropped another 2lb for her effort last time and is now back on a very feasible mark after being overrated on her novice hurdle win and battling against the handicapper ever since.
Christian Williams has found the right race and this mare looks all about stamina. She can give the weight away against her own sex.
