Angus McNae's Meydan tips: "he is nap material"

This filly has won four of her eight starts and was most impressive at Newmarket last time out. She was quickly away that day, being the fastest to reach 20mph (2.10s) and was never headed thereafter.

She ran three consecutive sub 11.00s furlongs and won easily, even if she did race against the favoured stands rail. This sharp five furlongs will suit her strong-travelling style and, as long as she does not get hooked up in a duel with the perennial front-runner Ponntos, she will be tough to beat getting weight from all of her rivals. 

The Bhupat Seemar team are in tremendous form and Walk Of Stars can win this for the second year in succession. He improved last season when allowed to make the running and he finished off the campaign with an excellent fourth in the Dubai World Cup.

He will look to dominate this race from the front and, although some of his rivals have had a previous run this season, he is the clear pick on form.

Expect him to be ridden aggressively and, if ready for his seasonal reappearance, will be able to control this race from the front. 

This horse is NAP material on a very good card. He has run times that suggest he is a Grade One performer.

He put up a superb performance in the Listed Sir Henry Cecil Stakes at Newmarket where Timeform have given him a Timefigure of 119 and, although beaten on his next start, he had an excuse in that he was too keen and had no cover.

He can tuck in here behind the leaders and then blow them away with his fine turn of foot. He rates as a very strong play. 

Well backed but only third in a Listed contest at Newmarket when last seen, this lightly-raced gelding can take advantage of the drop in grade and resume winning ways having been previously unbeaten in two starts.

He is unexposed at this trip and the form of his win at Chelmsford has been franked with the runner- up subsequently winning a Class 2 by four lengths.

Appleby and Buick are the masters on this track and By The Book can give them another winner.
