Betting expert Dave Nevison has two selections on the first day of the QIPCO Guineas Festival at Newmarket on Friday plus has also found a well-handicapped contender who looks worth siding with at Goodwood. Enjoy every race from both fixtures live on Racing TV, and Racing TV Extra.

Two selections at Newmarket

This 0-105 handicap might have been expected to have a bigger field, but at least we have the eight here for each-way purposes. Over the years, any contenders trained by the Johnston team have been a good place to start when seeking to find winners on the Rowley Mile.
The Gatekeeper seemed to appreciate the step up in trip after his absence when reappearing with a win at Newcastle in March. He followed up with a creditable effort at Doncaster and then might have found the race coming too quickly when turned out again just seven days after that.
He has had a month to get over those exertions at Musselburgh and looks like he might be the one to beat against rivals who are largely out of sorts based upon recent efforts.
Has been big prices on all three of his outings for Gary Moore since leaving France, but has shown enough to suggest that there are possibilities for him going close off this sort of mark.
The four-year-old ran a promising race at Sandown on his first run in this country where he stayed on nicely, plus was not knocked about, and his performance in the Spring Mile as he raced in the wrong group who were never in the race on heavy ground at Doncaster.
It may be that he needs to get down to below 80, and be stepped up in trip a little, to go close, but I am pretty sure there is a win in him and if he attracted market support, with Sean Kelly taking over, he might be worth siding with.

Dream worth a bet at Goodwood

Spent last season tumbling down the handicap and is now 9lb below his last winning mark.
However, he returned to action with a very decent effort at Windsor, his favourite track, on his seasonal reappearance and that decent effort was without any headgear, which is again left off here.
Given all of his five previous victories have been with no headgear on, it doesn’t seem a bad idea. Richard Kingscote was on board for arguably his best effort last season, and is reunited with Capote's Dream on Friday.
