2.08 Worcester: Camino Rocio
Dan Skelton has made no secret of his intention to hunt down Martin Pipe's record for number of winner's in a season, and to aide that he has tried to buy sone well handicapped 'summer' horses.
Camino Rocio could be one such type. He's enjoyed a season in the point-to-point ranks and while he's not won, he has run well in defeat in Open grade.
Just over a year ago, he bolted up off this mark over this trip at Huntingdon, so there is no denying he returns to fences a well-handicapped performer.
I fully expect him to be ready for this stable debut, and he should prove hard to beat.
4.00 Naas: Havana Ana
This speedy filly won the Group Three Goffs Lacken Stakes over this course and distance before following up with another improved display when fourth in the Group One Commonwealth Cup at Royal Ascot.
A drop to five furlongs last time out didn't work out when she jumped slowly from the stalls, but this step back up in trip, and drop in grade against her own sex, represents a far more winnable race.
4.38 Worcester: Harry
Harry was claimed by this yard after winning a 2m3f hurdle at Clairefontaine in easy fashion, and back in second there was Jiliajone. The winning margin was only two lengths, but the winner was value for far more.
The David Pipe yard would have a good handle on the level of form, given Jiliajone was previously in training at Pond House, with a useful rating of 126.
The selection gave him 6lb, and readily beat him, so an opening mark of 110 could well be lenient.
