1.55 York: Frankies Dream

Tipster: Dave Nevison
Best odds: 13-2
I am hoping Jennie Candlish can have a good afternoon here and at Newcastle and that Frankies Dream can kick things off for the yard.
The four-year-old is an exasperating horse to back as he pulls hard and has to be steered through runners to ideally get up close home. I have suffered backing him the last twice and feel he could easily have won on both occasions with even a tiny bit more luck in running. It falls on Clifford Lee to deliver him but I do feel he has a decent draw on this occasion and might well be suited by a furlong shorter trip in a fast-run race here.
I am pretty confident that the place money is safe and, given the hot form of the yard, this could be the chance for Frankies Dream to get the win.

2.25 York: Hallo Spaceboy

Tipster: Martin Dixon
Best odds: 7-4
A progressive colt from Ed Walker's yard ridden by Oisin Murphy isn't going to be missed by the market but I'll be disappointed if Hallo Spaceboy can't land this six furlong handicap.
He's shaped well on every single one of his career runs to date and was second in a very strong race for the grade at Ascot when last seen, run down only late on having got to the front going well inside the penultimate furlong.
He's drawn near to Percy's Star who I'd expect to make the running and carry Hallo Spaceboy deep into the race and his smart pedigree and rangy physique both also suggest there's plenty more to come.

3.15 Newcastle: Team Player

Tipster: Race iQ (Andy Stephens)
Best odds: 8-1
Team Player has plenty going for him in the Jenningsbet Northumberland Plate.
The chestnut gelding has had three different trainers in the past year, but different changes of scenery have done little to halt his progression, and he remains unexposed as a stayer.
He put up another personal best when a staying-on fifth in the Chester Cup last time, being beaten only two-and-a-half lengths, albeit without looking like winning.
The data reveals he dipped under 12 seconds in each of the final three furlongs, and that is a rarity. Indeed, out of 129 horses in the RaceiQ database to have run over that distance at the track, only two others have achieved that feat.
And of those 129, Team Player also posted the fifth fastest time over the final three furlongs.
The four-year-old had previously begun the year with a win over course and distance before following up in resolute style at Musselburgh. In the former, he scored in a time 4.48sec quicker than the RaceiQ par, earning himself a Time Index of 7.5 when the meeting average was 6.1.
Team Player runs off the same mark as at Chester and RaceiQ’s Draw Bias metric suggests only Rise The Thunder and Saint Etienne have more favourable stalls.

3.55 The Curragh: Estrange

Tipster: Nic Doggett
Best odds: 7-2
Made a big impression when running away with a Goodwood maiden on her three-year-old debut, but not rushed thereafter, partly due to a preference for slower ground.
Returned the following season with a Pinnacle Stakes win at Haydock, followed that with a narrow success in the Lancashire Oaks over the same C&D on her next start, and then far from disgraced when second to an on-a-roll Minnie Hauk - who was completing a quartet of Oaks wins - in the Yorkshire Oaks. Ran almost as well when second to Kalpana in the British Champions Fillies & Mares Stakes on her final start that term.
Pleasing return to action when easily defending her Pinnacle Crown (albeit up at Carlisle this time) last month, beating two progressive four-year-olds, and looks a major player here down in trip as long as the ground doesn’t quicken considerably.

5.05 Curragh: The Piper’s Call

Tipster: Johnny Ward
Best odds: 4-1
Three-year-olds do well in this handicap and few have looked as much a potential anomaly ratings wise as this one.
On his debut, one of only two runs at the Curragh and one of only three career starts, he was ahead of North Coast (now rated 109), Puerto Rico (116), Killourney Reigns (85), Sky Watch (96), Evening Blues (83) and Suspicious Mindz (82).
Dan McLoughlin was worried about the ground when he won here recently and said he felt he was a Jersey horse. He runs off 82 here.
