Johnny Ward's Saturday tips: "she is interesting at 14-1 for John Murtagh"

Top tips for Saturday from Irish racing expert Johnny Ward who has three handicap selections for the action at the Curragh, live on Racing TV! 

What a cracking middle leg of the Curragh's three-day meet we have to savour. Thundering On bids to emulate her mother in winning the Pretty Polly, likely on similar ground, and we have at least two O'Brien hotpots in the juvenile races, with both Confucious and Sun Goddess hard to oppose. Here are three, all running in handicaps. 

Last year’s Sandringham eighth off 5lb higher, she would not have walked on the ground last time on stable debut.

She is interesting at 14-1 for John Murtagh in a race in which few appeal. 

Orla Tynan’s strike-rate is staggering and this Churchill colt, trying 10 furlongs on good ground for the first time in a handicap, is interesting at the likely odds. 

He showed a good attitude at Leopardstown in a race almost nothing got into off the speed and takes the eye on his fourth at that same course last year. 

Three-year-olds do well in this handicap and few have looked as much a potential anomaly ratings wise as this one. 

On his debut, one of only two runs at the Curragh and one of only three career starts, he was ahead of North Coast (now rated 109), Puerto Rico (116), Killourney Reigns (85), Sky Watch (96), Evening Blues (83) and Suspicious Mindz (82). 

Dan McLoughlin was worried about the ground when he won here recently and said he felt he was a Jersey horse. He runs off 82.
