Menuisier predicts bold Thundering Blue Cambridgeshire run

Trainer David Menuisier is looking forward to seeing ante-post favourite Thundering Blue bid to extend his winning sequence in the Betfred Cambridgeshire at Newmarket on Saturday.
Following victories at Epsom and on the July Course, the four-year-old completed his hat-trick in fine style at Sandown – despite conceding ground by jinking left in the final furlong.
Each of his recent triumphs have come over a mile and a quarter and he drops back a furlong for this weekend's prestigious handicap on the Rowley Mile, but Menuisier remains confident of a bold showing.
"All going well this week, the plan is for him to run on Saturday and hopefully Jim (Crowley) will ride," said the French-born trainer.
"He knows the horse well after winning on him at Sandown.

"He has completed his hat-trick and is in very good form. He is 34th on the list at the moment and he will get in, so we don't have to worry about that.
"I don't think he is ground dependant, as long as we don't get extremes, and I think it will probably be good ground by Saturday.
"Sometimes horses can handle different types of ground when they are lower in the weights and when they go up in the weights you find out what they really want.
"With him having such a good turn of foot, you would think quicker ground will suit him best, but we are not too concerned."
Thundering Blue is a best-priced 8-1 for Saturday's big handicap at Newmarket (PA)
Ladbrokes has reported steady support for the favourite and on Tuesday clipped him in to 7-1 to 8-1, while the firm also laid Brorocco and are not 14-1 from 16-1.
Nicola McGeady of Ladbrokes said: “Thundering Blue looks very solid at the head of the market, but support for Brorocco is no surprise either after his impressive win at Newbury on Saturday.”
The trainer will go back to the drawing board with Corpus Chorister following her disappointing effort in the Betfred Cesarewitch Trial at Newmarket last Saturday.
The four-year-old filly was thoroughly impressive over two miles at Beverley earlier in the summer, but finished tailed off over two and a quarter miles at the weekend and Menuisier feels her lack of stamina was exposed.
The French-born trainer has therefore ruled out a tilt at the Cesarewitch itself and he will looking to bring his charge back in distance next month.
He said: "She didn't stay on Saturday, so she won't be going for the Cesarewitch.
"She was a little bit on it going down to the start and travelled into the race strongly, but she didn't get home.
"She's a filly with a lot of speed and I thought she could do well in those staying races if she did stay, but she doesn't, so we'll have to have a rethink.
"She got struck into as well so we'll give her a few days off and then try and find her a race in October.
"I think she has a enough speed to win over a mile and three-quarters."
The Pulborough-based trainer decided against declaring Vintager for the Somerville Tattersalls Stakes at Newmarket on Thursday following a dirty scope.
The son of Mastercraftsman impressed on his July Course debut before finishing fifth in the Solario Stakes at Sandown.
"His scope wasn't satisfactory, so we decided not to declare him," Menuisier added.
"It wasn't very bad, but he's a nice horse and we want to look after him, so we will find him something else." __ Racing UK is the ONLY place where you can watch EVERY race on all three days of the Cambridgeshire meeting at Newmarket__.
