Bigbadjohn got his season back on track by gaining the biggest success of his career with a last-gasp victory in Ascot's Sodexo Reynoldstown Novices' Chase.Having slipped up on the bend at Doncaster on his previous start, the eight-year-old benefited from a strong ride by Jonathan Moore to give trainer Rebecca Curtis her second winner in the Grade Two.Although still with work to do after the last, the 8-1 shot put his head in front almost on the line to deny the brave front-running effort of Flintham by a short head.Curtis said: "We've not been running too much because of the ground. Jonathan Moore said he hated the ground and you could see he was changing his legs the whole way."He is probably better going left-handed. He has done it the hard way, but he always stays very well."He is in the four-miler (National Hunt Chase) and the RSA. We will get him home and make a plan, I guess."Trainer Mark Bradstock hinted a trip to the Cheltenham Festival could also be on the cards for the runner-up.He said: "He is amazing. He is not very big, but he jumps for fun. Nico (De Boinville) gave him a fabulous ride. There is the four-miler or the RSA. We will see how he is."
