Ayr Gold Cup to be run at Haydock Park

This year's Ayr Gold Cup will be run at Haydock Park next Saturday.
Following the abandonment of all three days of the Western Meeting at Ayr because of waterlogging, the British Horseracing Authority has moved to save the highlight of the meeting.
William Hill, the race's original sponsor, will be replaced by 32Red.
Richard Wayman, chief operating officer for the BHA, said: "We are delighted that the Ayr Gold Cup - which is such an important betting race - has been saved and will be run at Haydock on September 30.
"Great credit and a thanks must go to the new sponsors 32Red, the Horserace Betting Levy Board (HBLB) and Jockey Club Racecourses for their financial support and ITV Racing for agreeing to incorporate the race to their schedule."
The BHA said in a statement that there will be no special draw for the race and that the standard automated draw allocation will be in operation.
The race will have a maximum safety factor of 17 runners, with full details to be confirmed on Monday.
