Aidan O'Brien sets sights on Breeders' Cup date for Alice Springs

Aidan O'Brien would like to get a run into multiple Group One winner Alice Springs before the Breeders' Cup at Del Mar in the autumn.

Victories in the Falmouth, Matron and Sun Chariot Stakes saw her head to the big meeting in America last November as a leading player for the Breeders' Cup Mile, but she could only finish 10th.

Alice Springs has been sidelined with an injury since she was beaten on her comeback at Naas in April, but O'Brien is looking at taking her Stateside once more.

"Alice Springs is on the way back," said the Ballydoyle handler.

"I would like to get her ready for the Breeders' Cup, and get a run in beforehand."
