Comment: Cesarewitch and Northumberland Plate winner who added another valuable prize to his CV when taking Marsh Cup at Newbury last month. Another 6 lb higher but still feared given his big handicap record.
Comment: Smart listed/Group 3 winner for Brian Meehan. Has shown he retains all his ability when placed in C&D listed/Group 3 for new yard this term and this has presumably always been the main target.
Comment: Typical middle-distance improver for this yard, landing Duke of Edinburgh at Royal Ascot in June. Respectable efforts in pattern company twice since and successful on sole previous visit here.
Comment: Very much caught the eye when short-head second in Duke of Edinburgh on Royal Ascot return and perhaps found the run coming too soon when well behind King's Advice at Newmarket since. Can bounce back.
Comment: Encouraging return when second to Dee Ex Bee in 2m Sandown Group 3. Went off too hard in C&D listed next time and wasted no time showing he's still in form when close second back at Sandown since.
Comment: Acomb winner at this meeting at 2. Showed he's as good as ever when landing Newmarket listed event on his return and it's easy to ignore his subsequent Goodwood Cup effort as he went off way too hard.
Comment: Smart gelding who was respectable 3¼ lengths fifth of 10 to Twilight Payment in Group 2 Curragh Cup 8 weeks ago. Consistent sort who ought to give his running but career best required from this mark.
Comment: Completed a listed hat-trick when seeing off 4 rivals on Gowran return in May. Second in Haydock Group 3 next time and something can't have been right at Leopardstown latest (freshened up since).
Comment: Not disgraced in his 3 starts this term (all listed level) but he's won just once in last 12 outings and bit of a surprise if he's up to landing a race as competitive as this. Blinkered first time
Comment: Winless since 2017 Doncaster Cup but showed he's still very capable when third to King's Advice at Newmarket. Not disgraced when midfield at Glorious Goodwood since. Visor replaces cheekpieces.
Comment: Winner of Old Newton Cup at Haydock last month. Behind a few of these rivals in C&D Group 3 next time but back on the up with Newmarket handicap success a couple of weeks ago. Carries 4 lb penalty.
Comment: Placed twice in Melbourne Cup. Possibly not quite the force of old as a 9-y-o but he was a fair third to Cleonte on Royal Ascot return and made the most of a good opportunity at Killarney latest.
Comment: Excellent third in Melbourne Cup back in November. Freshened up after stint in Dubai at the start of the year and shaped as if better for run when last of 5 in Glorious Goodwood Group 3 this month.
John Gosden sent out the 1-2 last year and holds a strong hand again courtesy of BEN VRACKIE and Weekender, who was second 12 months ago. The former may well have found his latest Newmarket run coming too soon on the back of his excellent Royal Ascot reappearance and is well worth another chance. King's Advice is a must for the shortlist, while Withhold's big handicap record merits him respect.

Specific Place Hint: Of those forecasted with a better chance, Weekender and Dramatic Queen could be the most susceptible in a race in which competition for the lead looks plentiful: A strong early pace seems highly likely. Ben Vrackie and Desert Skyline could be suited by being ridden further from the pace.
Individual Price Hint: King's Advice traded at more than 10 times BSP twice when winning during its last 5 starts: Ben Vrackie traded at 10% or less of BSP twice on its last 5 starts.
