Fakenham Racecourse, Results & Racecards

Fakenham Racecourse

Left handed, very sharp, with a short run-in on both courses. Fakenham Racecourse is the tightest jumps track in the country. In theory, Fakenham is ideal for handy, front-running types as opposed to long-striding gallopers, though underfoot conditions are usually more testing than advertised. Races are often strongly-run, with the emphasis being much more on stamina than might be expected.

Fakenham Course Guide

Aidan Coleman

The tightest Jumps track in the country, which wouldn’t be ideal for lots of horses. It’s a great place for a tricky type who might have lost their way due to its unique square-shaped layout, which is only one mile in distance. When you do find a horse that is capable here, they tend to go on to win time and again, so look out for course and distance form over anything else. There is a great local crowd always in attendance, and the prizemoney is always excellent, which is a great incentive as it is a bit of a drive for most trainers and jockeys.
