2.37 Catterick: Hamdani Mokhater
Hamdani Mokhater was only collared late on during his nursery debut at Leicester last week, but he can go one better here off the same mark.
The James Horton-trained son of Mohaather responded well to first time cheekpieces on his first start as a gelding to suggest there are races to be won with him.
With the same headgear retained he is likely to prove tough to beat on ground that will suit him, plus he has the added bonus of receiving weight all round from his rivals.
8.20 Leicester: Afraj
Taking on an odds-on chance seeking a hat-trick is not always an easy task, but Afraj looks up to the task on her handicap debut.
After proving too keen on her return in a mile novice contest at Goodwood in May, the John and Thady Gosden-shaped much better dropped to seven furlongs last time at Newmarket.
She moved well through that race under William Buick, who is back on board for his only ride at the meeting, before weakening out of contention late on.
Given her finishing effort last time the drop back to six furlongs looks worth exploring and she could now prove a different proposition switched to handicaps.
