1.50 Goodwood: Parole D’Oro
This horse went into the tracker after he was hampered and finished strongly in last year’s Britannia Handicap and, even though he missed the places in that race, I for one was pretty convinced that there was a big handicap in him.
More than a year on, Parole D’Oro still hasn’t delivered a win, but a look through his form suggests he has the ability and this could be the day.
It didn’t work out for him in the three-year-old only handicap at this meeting last year where he found himself trapped on the inside under Ryan Moore.
Troubled passages and hard luck stories are stock in trade for Goodwood and you need to allow for that when taking a price, but this race looks set to be run at a very strong pace and might well be the one that works out for Michael Bell’s charge. He looks too big at 25-1.

4.10 Goodwood: Rapper’s Delight
One of many running in these colours for Richard Spencer, Rapper’s Delight has been a very narrowly beaten second on his latest two starts.
It is not impossible that he would have won last time out if he hadn’t have suffered minor interference, in which case he would have been raised more than the 2lb he has gone up in the weights here.
He has been runner-up in three of his six handicaps so far, but won his maiden in good style last term so I have no fears regarding his resolution, and running in the biggest field he has yet to encounter could bring out the best in him.
5.55 Goodwood: Woohoo
Woohoo is 1lb out of the handicap here which is neither here nor there in a massive field sprint such as this.
Jim Goldie has put Lauren Young up to claim 5lb which will negate that comfortably and the very capable young rider was on board when Woohoo scored at Musselburgh earlier this season.
The handicapper knows pretty much where he is with Woohoo, but she is well drawn here and it is possible given how she has been staying on over five furlongs recently that she will benefit from this step back up in trip.
