Tuesday tips: Dave Nevison's best bets on the Flat and over Jumps

Hobie scored over this trip on his first run for 13months in August and confirmed he was back to his best when he followed up over 2m on his latest start.

He only won narrowly but beat another in-form rival on that occasion and does not seem to have too many rivals in top form here.

Hobie clearly has speed and the short run in the straight may well suit him off just a 4lb higher mark than his latest win.

The recent rain has missed Warwick so the ground will still be in his favour and I expect him to have a good go at completing the hat trick.

An ability to handle testing conditions at Beverley on Tuesday will be vital and Gemma Tutty’s runner is definitely confirmed on that score, having won easily on soft ground last time out following up on a previous success at that course.

It took a 20lb drop in the weights before One Night Thunder was able to get back to winning ways but he looks good for a hat trick now, especially as Beverely is another right-handed track with a stiff uphill finish.

The trip is perfect for him and the trainer has him entered at Haydock later in the week, so is perhaps eyeing a quick follow up.

Charming Fellow had a good spell of runs in nurseries, all on heavy ground, and won the middle one at Pontefract so is clearly going to handle conditions well.

He has had only the three runs this season and has got better with each one, finishing a good third at Windsor last time when sticking on well after doing a bit too much early.

He is 1lb lower with a decent 5lb claimer on board and provided Taryn Langley can keep him settled in front then he may well be able to take advantage of a good draw in stall 3.

Peter Chapple-Hyam does not run as many these days but he had a winner last week, so his string is evidently in good form.
