Top tipster Dave Nevison has three best bets on Thursday, with two from the second day of York's Dante Festival, plus one from Salisbury. Watch it all live on Racing TV.
2.08 Salisbury: Safari Dream
Safari Dream won twice over course and distance in the spring last season, and clearly goes very well at this stiff sprint track. He was still going very well at the back end and finished an excellent fourth in a much higher grade handicap here last October.
The six-year-old is now back to a mark 2lb lower than his latest course win and judged on two decent efforts so far this spring looks poised to score again.
Jake Dickson looks an interesting jockey booking, being largely seen in the north riding for his boss Tim Easterby among others. Hopefully his journey south will be worth the petrol money.
2.20 York: Corolla Point
Connections look as though they have picked up a serious bargain getting Corolla Point from Charlie Appleby for £60,000 (he cost £800,000 at two as a breeze-up) and Ed Bethell has already got two wins out of him last season.
He reappeared recently at Beverley and ran another cracking race to be beaten just over half a length into third place. The runner-up has already won since, so the form looks strong, though I am relatively sure that this prestigious meeting has always been his first real target of the season.
The four-year-old has still only raced six times in his career and could have several lb of upside in him and he looks one to follow during the summer.

2.55 York: Sea Force
I have only just recovered from watching Sea Force’s nightmare run in the Thirsk Hunt Cup recently and my only qualm about putting him up is that he does have a slightly concerning record of things not always going right for him. He has not won the number of times commensurate with his ability.
The four-year-old has only gone up 1lb for that most unfortunate effort and he would have been raised more if he had got the breaks, so in my view he is clearly very well-handicapped.
There is no way the Thirsk effort can be blamed on either jockey or horse and I am happy to have one more decent bet on him here. The extreme pace forecast for this race and a good low draw just outside habitual front-runner Point Lynas should enable Tom Marquand, who won on him at Yarmouth last season, to hold a good position this time.
