Former Tipstar champ Ross Millar has four bets on Thursday, including a 'Group horse in a handicap' at York - catch three of them live on Racing TV! York 2.20: Hammer The Hammer
Was deeply impressive when showing rapidly progressive form to win three on the bounce last spring before finishing second in a five-furlong Royal Ascot handicap off a mark of 100.
Three subsequent efforts over six furlongs have slowed his progress, but he drops in trip here and with the potential benefit of recent wind surgery, I still believe he's a Group horse in a handicap.
4.05 York: Morshdi
His win in the listed Feilden Stakes in April is a performance worthy of an upgrade given it came at a time when many from his yard were looking in need of a run. He showed a smart turn of foot and a strong attitude to win drawing away.
He bypassed the Dee Stakes at Chester when connection held reservations over the ground (though it's worth noting trainer William Haggas had also referenced the 3lb penalty he was set to carry as an inconvenience) and is re-routed here.
With further progression, I make him the pick with his yard in excellent form.

4.18 Perth: Trust House
Trainer Olly Murphy boasts an excellent 36% strike rate at
Perth while jockey Sean Bowen surpasses that with a 38% success rate.
Trust House appeared to relish a return to a sounder surface this spring, winning at Market Rasen and Ffos Las - both times over this trip.
He's now up another 8lb, but that wouldn't have stopped him last time; he can land the hat-trick.
6.10 Fontwell: Bel Ombre
Neil Mulholland's gelding didn't enjoy the clearest passage when given a patient ride last time at Perth, but that didn't affect the result as he finished runner-up to a well-handicapped winner.
His mark was unchanged for that effort and he did pull well clear of the third.
To my mind, he's still well handicapped off this mark of 108, though the fitting of a first-time tongue-tie is a minor concern.
