Thomas Crapper ran out an emphatic winner of the William Hill "High 5" Supporting Greatwood Gold Cup at Newbury.Robin Dickin's stable stalwart had failed to get his head in front in eight starts since scoring over this course and distance last April, but snapped that losing run in some style in the hands of Charlie Poste.Nine runners went to post for the feature event of the day at the Berkshire track, but only three were in contention rounding the home turn.The front-running Hollywoodien remained at the head of affairs at the top of the straight, but 8-1 shot Thomas Crapper loomed ominously alongside and moved to the front on the run to the third-last.Vic De Touzaine did his best to bridge the gap, but Thomas Crapper showed no signs of stopping in the testing ground, safely negotiating the remaining obstacles and galloping on remorselessly to seal a 20-length success.Vic De Touzaine was a clear second ahead of Hollywoodien in third.Dan Skelton's 4-1 favourite Oldgrangewood and the Paul Nicholls-trained pair of Vibrato Valtat and More Buck's were all disappointing.
