Top tipster Dave Nevison has three selections for Wednesday's action, including one from Kempton - live on Racing TV.
2.30 Hereford: Lelant
Lelant had dropped to a very favourable handicap mark and looked good when winning two handicap chases last autumn.
Good and good to soft ground probably also enabled the Williams-trained chaser to show his form, and it seems very reasonable to put his latest disappointing run down to the heavy ground at Fontwell.
It could also have been related to the fact that Lelant has often shown his best form when fresh and he may have gone off the boil. He will hopefully have been freshened up for this return after almost three months off and he is still running off a mark much lower than his peak rating.
4.30 Hereford: Reel Orange
This maiden mare has run one or two good races usually at big prices for previous trainers, but was clearly felt to have improved for the move to the Tizzard stable last time.
Reel Orange went off favourite for the first time in her career and ran by far her best race, even though eventually finishing second to a big outsider.
She is running off the same mark here and
Hereford should suit her front-running style perfectly, where she should get an uncontested lead. Hopefully the downhill run in after the last should enable her to last home.
5.00 Kempton: Rye
Rye is a four-year-old who is a pretty exposed maiden, but her rivals here hold absolutely no secrets from the handicapper, and this winnable race could represent a real opportunity to finally get her head in front.
The Tony Carroll-trained filly made her 2026 return over this course and distance after a short winter break recently, and ran very well to finish third behind two runners in their best form.
Despite failing to get the win, Rye hasn’t shown signs of unwillingness and should go close here off her lowest ever mark, and in the lowest grade she has contested.
