Tenter Le Tout to try Triumph company at Cheltenham

Chester Williams is relishing running Tenter Le Tout at Cheltenham on Saturday, certain his ace juvenile is yet to reach her limit.
Unbeaten in two starts over hurdles, the filly gave Williams a red-letter day when sauntering to Grade Two success in Chepstow’s Finale Juvenile Hurdle over the Christmas period, and now takes on highly-regarded opposition once again in the JCB Triumph Trial Juvenile Hurdle at Prestbury Park.
Williams said: “The plan is very much for her to run, there might be a few worrying about the ground but I’m delighted to see the rain and I think softer ground will be in her favour.
“She gave us a wonderful day at Chepstow and she’s much exceeded expectations, she’s been very impressive.
“I’m not sure you can look and say she’s a no-hoper now up against a higher calibre of juvenile and the Exeter race she won has worked out really well.
“The Chepstow Grade Two may have fallen apart slightly, but all you can do is go and win and she’s won two races on the bridle. Gavin Sheehan was struggling to pull her up at Chepstow and hopefully Saturday can be a case of onwards and upwards and she’s entitled to have a crack at this.”
Tenter Le Tout was handed an entry for the Triumph Hurdle on Tuesday and it is likely her dress rehearsal in the Cotswolds will serve as a signpost for the spring.
“She’s got a mark of 123 and this will tell us if she is a Triumph horse or a Fred Winter horse or whether we look elsewhere,” added Williams.
“Chepstow was meant to be the first guide to where we went in the future and I guess you can say she still hasn’t answered the question about how good she is yet, having won both races so comfortably. We’re heading in a very positive direction.”
