Our presenter and Sunday columnist Angus McNae picked 9-2 and 11-5 winners from four fancies last weekend and shares his four fancies the card at Wetherby, live on Racing TV.
This New Approach filly has made significant progression from her first run to her second run and, on both starts so far, showing enough ability to suggest that a race like this is within her grasp.
She travelled like the best horse at Nottingham last time before running green and allowing the winner to rally and beat her by half a length. That experience will not be lost on her and a low draw alongside the assistance of Jamie Spencer makes her a solid play here.
He showed huge improvement on his previous form when winning at Windsor last time and now looks very well-treated off a mark of 64 in this Class 6 handicap.
That success came off a 10-week lay-off and a gelding operation and that seemed to being about a transformation in Eklil's form. He travelled well and asserted his authority in the closing stages to win going away - and in a good time.
Off a 5lb higher mark, he looks to be a decent play off top-weight in this modest contest.
A falling handicap mark and this chance in lesser company make him a play here.
Big Narstie struggled in deeper waters last season but has slipped in the weights as a result and gets to race in a Class 4 handicap off a mark of 83. To put that in context, in five runs his mark has slid by 12lbs.
The benefit of that sliding mark could be seen when making a good seasonal reappearance at Doncaster. In that competitive handicap he was beaten just over a length having travelled well and he made good progress from half way.
This is a weaker race and he should be sharper for his recent effort. This is a good opportunity for him to gain his second career success.
The David O’Meara team are in good form and this sprinter can provide him with another winner.
Soul Seeker's seasonal reappearance at Beverley saw him to be better than ever when finishing a close up second in a Class 3 handicap. He won off a mark of 83 at York last season and is racing off only 1lb higher here.
Soul Seeker is a consistent type and, while this is a competitive, his recent outing will have put an edge on him and Daniel Tudhope can guide him to success.
