1.40 Naas: BOUNTY
This
colt looked a smart prospect when finishing runner-up at the Curragh on his debut and can go one better.
He was well backed and travelled strongly through that race before being worn down in the closing stages.
Bounty pulled well clear of the third in the style of a horse who looked certain to win next time with that experience under his belt.
3.35 Goodwood: MAYDAY MALONE
He has had three runs and now races off a reasonable mark of 76.
looks likely to be suited by the ground given that his useful half-brother, Deepone, is best under such conditions.
The step up to seven furlongs at Chester seemed to suit him last time out when finishing a decent second without being given a hard time.
Racing over the same distance, and in conditions that suit, he should go well off a handy mark.
4.10 Goodwood: CASTLE GATES
I am a fan of the progeny of Farrh when they encounter soft conditions, and the heavy ground will suit
who has shaped with promise on both of his starts.
Last time out at Bath he was second to a useful type, with the pair pulling lengths clear of the third.
The front -running tactics employed that day will be an advantage in a race that looks to be lacking in pace and
can dominate this from the front.
4.45 Goodwood: WHIP CRACKER
After a three-month break when he was gelded, Whip Cracker returned to action at Newbury and shaped well in third to Mustazeed off a mark of 99.
He gets to race off the same mark here and drops down in trip from 10 furlongs to a mile which is a plus given he had enough speed to win over seven furlongs earlier in the season.
Being by Cracksman out of a Sea The Moon mare, he should relish the conditions and is my strongest fancy of the day.
