Simon Crisford has Dark Rose Angel in bloom for Newmarket test

Simon Crisford does not see the drop in trip as a barrier to success for Dark Rose Angel in the Oh So Sharp Stakes at Newmarket on Friday.
The Dark Angel filly was just touched off by Laurens over a mile in the Group Two May Hill Stakes at the St Leger meeting at Doncaster.
While Dark Rose Angel is racing over a furlong shorter at Headquarters, this also represents a slight drop in grade.
Crisford said: "She's very well and we've been very happy with her preparation for this race.
"She's just a very straightforward filly – a delight to train – and I've been very pleased with her.
"As she wasn't in the Fillies' Mile originally we were never really looking at that.
"She's dropping down a furlong from the May Hill, but I wouldn't have thought that would trouble her in the slightest."
Roger Charlton's Gavota also brings Group-race form to the table after a fast-finishing third in the Rockfel Stakes over this course and distance a month ago.

Teddy Grimthorpe, racing manager to owner Khalid Abdullah, said: "I think she was a little unfortunate in the Rockfel a fortnight ago.
"Just when she needed to get out when the pace quickened, she was a little squeezed.
"Then she lost her action a bit in the dip before running on really strongly.
"When she met the rising ground she really lengthened, which was very promising, and we think she should run well again."
Charlie Appleby runs Expressiy, who has won two of her four starts – most recently at Chelmsford just over a week ago.
Aidan O'Brien runs the useful Butterscotch, but Ryan Moore has opted to ride once-raced stablemate I Can Fly, who created a big impression on her debut at Dundalk.
