2.40 Haydock: An Taillur
An Taillur hasn't won since landing this race in 2022 but he has slipped to a potentially lenient mark, now 4 lb lower than that success, and there were more positive signs when last seen at Newbury in February despite the ground been softer than his optimum.
He's had over two months off since which could help to have him I'm prime condition for this and providing they don't get too much rain at Haydock I'd expect conditions to be more suitable than he's had for a while.
3.00 Musselburgh: JM Jungle
A smaller field than you might expect for this valuable sprint but with there should be a good pace for JM Jungle to follow with Tatterstall in the field and I like the set-up of the race for him from stall eight one off the stands rail and with the likely front runner drawn next door to him.
He ran very well over this course and distance on last year's reappearance off the same mark of 93 and I'd be hopeful a similar performance first up this year will see him at least reward each-way support.
3.35 Musselburgh: Wise Eagle
Wise Eagle has been a fantastic horse for Adam Nicol's small yard and comes back to this rave which he won in 2023 from a 5 lb lower mark.
He's won five times in total at Musselburgh, having added a maiden hurdle here to his CV last November, and has since held his form incredibly well mixing codes.
There looks set to be a strong pace on which will play to his strengths and having Daniel Tudhope back on board - who has won on him four times previously - is another positive. He rates a strong each-way bet at general odds of 7-1 with most bookmakers paying four places 1/5 odds.
