1.10 Cheltenham: Lisbane Park
Joe Tizzard has his string in sparkling form in time for Cheltenham's opening fixture of the season, and enjoyed a four-timer at Ffos Las on Thursday, including one who won at doube-figure odds.
Lisbane Park must be one of the high hopes for the yard, and he certainly looks an exciting prospect for handicaps, at least, this Autumn.
The six-year-old gelding has run consistently well when running against decent opposition at a relatively early stage of his career.
He looks every inch a chaser, and appears very well handicapped off an opening mark of just 120. It is also no surprise that Tizzard has switched him to fences quickly.
The selection finished runner-up in an Irish point-to-point and, even though others in this strong field have a bit more experience jumping fences, most have to concede weight to this exciting prospect.

2.20 Cheltenham: Seaniecon (nap)
This is a numerically-strong, staying handicap, but with surprisingly few runners who make great betting appeal.
The Jonjo & A J O’Neill-trained Seaniecon looks to be the exception, and could well be a horse to be with this Autumn.
He won a modest maiden hurdle at Hereford in February by 28 lengths, but improved greatly on that form after that. His final start at the Punchestown Festival in April saw him finish a close-up fifth in a big-field handicap after being badly hampered and knocked back through the field, only to stay on towards the line.
The cheekpieces, which seemed to be effective there, are re-applied for this seasonal debut, and the yard came good at Carlisle (a favoured track of theirs) a couple of days ago with two winners.

2.55 Cheltenham: Here Comes Georgie
Choosing between the Dan Skelton-trained runners in this £100,000 handicap chase isn’t easy, but Here Comes Georgie looks the most interesting runner.
He is making his debut for the Skelton yard, and it has to be significant that Harry Sketon takes over here. A wind operation is no surprise and, hopefully, that will have a positive effect. It could also be enough in itself to bring about a return to form.
However, the eight-year-old is now a couple of pounds below the mark he has previously won off, so the move to the top stable in the country doesn’t even need to bring him back to his best previous form.
I am happy to accept the decision to up Here Comes Georgie to three miles here, given the small amount of mistakes the yard makes.

3.14 Kelso: Two Auld Pals
Two Auld Pals has been guilty of doing too much in front on a couple of recent runs, and hopefully he won’t have to make his own running here.
He won well under this 10lb claimer in November, bolting up by 28 lengths having been ridden with restraint.
Lucinda Russell’s gelding has won plenty of races on the flat, and still looks well enough weighted to add to his hurdles tally.
